PTO Bazaar Basket / Event

Dear Parents,
Each year, each H.B.W.E. classroom puts together a themed basket for the silent auction. We need to have a theme basket prepared for the Basket Auction that takes place in the library. Our class basket theme is CAMPING/FISHING items. The easiest way to prepare this basket in a timely manner is to collect monetary donations from the students and then have our room mom, or myself, purchase the items and put the basket together. This way, we won’t have duplicate items brought in.
100% of the proceeds from this basket will go directly toward benefiting the students of OUR classroom. We can use this to purchase many wonderful things to enhance your child’s learning experience at school. (iPad apps, center activities and games, supplies, etc.)
I will purchase a large cooler be used as the “basket” to place the CAMPING/FISHING items in. I’m hoping to collect enough in donations to purchase enough items to fill this cooler. (picnic tablecloth, marshmallows, chocolate bars, graham crackers, flashlights, twine/rope, fishing pole, fishing tackle, etc.) Please send your money/donations to school with your child by Wednesday, February 27th. Our room mom and myself will need to have plenty of time to get the basket put together by Friday the 1st.
If you have an inside track on a really cool item (free round of golf, NFL tickets, hotel package, etc.), or own a business and want to make a contribution in that name (gift cards, etc.), please let me know. We can incorporate your items and ideas into this basket. We want our basket to be THE ONE…that everybody wants!
